Presidio Capital Investments Gets Good Return From Epson WorkForce Pro GT-S50 Scanner

In his quest for smarter, more economical ways to do business, Chinh Nguyen, chief investment officer at Presidio Capital Investments, LLC started thinking seriously about a more paperless office.  “Like many mutual fund companies, we rely on technology to boost efficiency, reduce cost and share information with investors,” said Nguyen.  “But we were still needlessly filing paper in cabinets.”

Another top performer at Presidio Capital is the Epson WorkForce Pro GT-S50 document scanner, a key part of the company’s paperless strategy.  Before putting the scanner to work, Presidio Capital relied on an under-performing, outdated scanner that was not fast or dependable enough.  “Now that we have the Epson WorkForce Pro GT-S50, we can more easily access files, while saving on storage and administrative costs,” said Nguyen.  “Most importantly, we see a boost in our productivity because we’re not wasting time filing documents and tracking information on paper.”

With two-sided duplex scanning and automatic paper size detection, the Epson GT-S50 scans documents up to 8.5 x 36 inches, plus items like business cards and rigid ID cards.  Presidio Capital staff can scan stacks of documents in the 75-page Auto Document Feeder, using a front control panel with up to 10 user-definable scan jobs, including scan-to-PDF and email.  To keep up, the Epson scanner scans up to 25 pages and 50 images per minute, and boasts a high-volume duty cycle of up to 1,200 sheets per day.*
